Cold email context, on your terms.
Refolded’s coming cold email browser extension brings its context-aware cold-email and LinkedIn mail-merge workflow into a user-triggered side panel from LinkedIn or Gmail. It waits for you to start the workflow — there is no always-on browser behavior.
The launch is not open yet. This page documents the intended access model before the extension is available.
The control surface
- 01
Open LinkedIn or Gmail
Start where the conversation already lives.
- 02
Trigger the side panel
You decide when context enters the loop.
- 03
Write with your context
Review variants, then choose what to send.
1 — What it sees
Explicit permissions, narrow by default.
The permission map is intentionally concrete. These are the three surfaces the coming extension needs, and each one is bounded by a user action or a user-owned storage boundary.
activeTab
Reads the active LinkedIn or Gmail tab only after you trigger the extension. It is not an always-on, site-wide read.
side panel
Opens only when you click or ask it to open. There is no autonomous background opening.
per-user variant history
Stores your generated variant history in your own user storage so your outreach context can be revisited. It is not a shared or cross-user history.
2 — What it does not do
A threat model you can read in one pass.
Security language should not hide behind “limited access.” Here are the deliberate prohibitions for the extension itself.
No background scraping
The extension does not crawl LinkedIn, Gmail, or other pages while you are away.
No cross-site tracking
It does not follow your activity across sites or build a browsing profile.
No third-party analytics
The extension does not include third-party analytics about your use of it.
No data sent to any third-party server
Your extension context is not sent to any third-party server.
The extension is coming soon.
The waitlist is how to request launch access for the cold email browser extension. Leave your email and we’ll share the next step when the user-triggered workflow is ready for an early group.
Request launch access
No extension is installed by joining. You are requesting an invitation for when it launches.
